Anna Griffin's Window Frame Card Making Kit

Saturday, August 5, 2017

Hello friends! I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far. Today I am sharing a few cards I made with Anna's Window Frame Card Making kit. Anna's card kits are amazing, there is just no better way to describle them. The box comes loaded with die cuts and ephemera for you to create stunning cards to give your friends and family.

Straight out of the box I created these cards with ease.

I love the delicate look of the roses included in this kit.

These kits are also easy to add existing dies and Anna Griffin embellies to. Do you see the butterfly die I added to this card? It's one of my faves. Anna's products go quick on HSN so be sure and follow her blog HERE for all the details of upcoming shows and shopping lists.

Have a great weekend!

Don't forget to get a little crafty.

Mixed Media Canvas featuring Rebekah Meier products

Friday, August 4, 2017

Hello there, today I am sharing a fun mixed media 6x6 canvas I created with a few of Rebekah Meier’s new Mixed Media line for Therm O Web and some odds and ends from my craft stash.

Mixed Media Butterfly 6x6 Canvas
Therm-O-Web Supplies: Rebekah Meier Designs Mixed Media Medium Jar 4 fl oz Rebekah Meier Designs Mixed Media Adhesive sheets 9x12 (3 sheets per pack) Deco Foil™ Transfer Gel Rebekah Meier Designs Transfer Foil 6″ x 6″ (12 sheets per pack) • Patina iCraft Mixed Media Adhesive 2.1 fl oz 3D WHITE FOAM SQUARE • 1/4 IN

Other Supplies: Recollections white flowers Recollections die cut frame Petaloo flowers Unity Stamp Company sentiment The Crafters Workshop Mini Butterfly Trail 6x6 Stencil ________________________________________________________________________
Mixed Media Butterfly Canvas Instructions:
I chose a piece of text paper from Anna Griffin to adhere a 6x6 piece of Rebekah Meier Designs Mixed Media Adhesive sheets 9x12  to. Next, I misted the paper with 2 different colors of Glimmer Mist. Next I used some painters tape to tape down the Crafters Workshop Mini Butterfly Trail 6x6 Stencil to my cardstock.

For the next step, I applied the Deco Foil™ Transfer Gel over the stencil and then lifted the stencil so the design could dry. I noticed that the Glimmer mist bled thru the transfer gel but that didn't matter since I was going to foil the image with Rebekah Meier Designs Transfer Foil 6″ x 6″ (12 sheets per pack) • Patina.

Now that the transfer gel was foiled, I was ready to adhere the Rebekah Meier Designs Mixed Media Adhesive sheet to the canvas and decorate.

I used a paintbrush to apply some of the  Rebekah Meier Designs Mixed Media Medium to adhere the frame onto my canvas. This medium works great for adhering paper and other paper elements to the canvas. It can also be used over the image to add a seal to it.

After adhering the frame, I cut a butterfly die twice and layered it with a 3D WHITE FOAM SQUARE • 1/4 IN. I then applied a small amount of the Rebekah Meier Designs Mixed Media Medium to the bottom and adhered it to the frame. I finished my project with a stamped sentiment and some Petaloo flowers.

All of the embellishments I used were items I already had in my craft stash. I love being able to use up older items rather than purchasing more things I might not use right away. These smaller canvases are easy to create quickly and make great gifts. Look through your stash and see what you can find to create with today.
